Week 1 Challenge:

Your challenge, should you choose to accept, is to drink 8 eight ounce glasses of water 5 or more days this week. If you complete this challenge, you will earn an additional 10 points for week one. :)

Reminder:
Here's how to earn points:
     -Physical Activity: 2 points per 10 minutes up to 1 hour per day.(maximum of 6 days)
     -Fruits and Vegetables: 1 point per fruit or vegetable up to 7 per day.
     -Stress Management: 2 points each day you participate in 10 minutes of stress management activity.
     -Weekly Challenge: We will take turns coming up with and posting a weekly challenge for all to participate in. If you complete the weeks challenge, you get an additional 10 points that week.

We are beginning today, March 14th, and will end on May 15th. Good luck everyone! :)

  2. If I drink any more water I'm going to throw up. 5 glasses per day is what my doctor suggested & even that is hard for me. ugh!

  3. I just changed the physical activity category to only count for 6 days of the week. I think this will make things more fair since the majority of our participants don't exercise on Sundays. Let me know if you disagree with this change. Also, I think this will be the only week that we have a Stress Management category. It is just such a tricky thing to measure. Again, I'm only doing this to try to make it more fair to everyone. But let me know if you disagree with it. :)

  4. I'm okay with both of those things. It's good to take at least one day off per week to let your body recoup & I agree -stress management is hard to define.
    I have a question about the fruits & veggie thing too...If a full serving of vegetables is mixed up in your dinner (ie. pasta dish, veggie pizza, tacos, etc.) would that count? Or does it have to be a seperate item (ie. snack on a celery stick). Likewise, if a full serving of fruit is mixed up in a fruit smoothie...does that count?

  8. =)Thanks. Good challenge this week Savannah. I didn't make it, only got 4 days with that much water so I didn't get the points, but I did get a lot more water which I think kept me from getting as sick as everyone else in my office did. =)
