I wanted to share a book with all of you. I really feel as though this book is dramatically changing my life and everything in it... and I'm only about 50 pages into it! If you're a fan of or interested in books like
The Secret or anything else that addresses the power of thought, intuition, etc., I highly suggest you buy this book today, NOW. I'll put a link ---->
HERE <----- if you really believe me and want to buy it now. If you want me to buy it for you, I'll do that too. It may be just me, but this book has already managed to describe almost every problem I've dealt with in life and has shown me how to more fully understand those problems and myself. I'm attempting to document as much of my personal thoughts, progress and insight on my "Thankful" blog --->
HERE<---. You're welcome to read it if you like. I don't really expect anyone to sit and read those posts, I kind of just put them there just to make the thoughts available for whoever. That's it for today.
Thanks for reading.
I want to get this book. Can I just buy it at Barnes and Noble?
ReplyDeleteYep. That's where I got it. If you want a discount, you can try giving them my cell phone number - I have a membership card that saves 10%
ReplyDeleteI'm curious about your name... I'm sure there's meaning behind it and I want to know what it is. I also will go find this book. =) thanks.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Mayan greeting. It means "I am another yourself". It represents the idea that all things and all people are one and the same. And you're welcome =)
ReplyDeleteMom or Sara, maybe I could borrow the book from one of ya when you're done? :) Hey, uh, maybe I'm just not "deep" enough, but what does "I am another yourself" mean? I'd like to know. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd, who posted the "Out of Focus" pics? They're really neat! :)
Savannah, Here's the cliff notes version of what "I am another yourself" means:
ReplyDeleteEverything in the universe is made up of atoms (protons, neutrons, electrons). This applies to the computer you're looking at as well as the air you're breathing- on an atomic and subatomic level, they're literally made up of the same thing. It has also been scientifically proven that thoughts are made up of physical particles traveling through neuro-pathways in the brain. Therefore, thoughts are also the same thing. This is the basis behind the "Law of Attraction" principle in The Secret and many other books.
The Law of Attraction works like this- like attracts like, meaning subatomic particles are always attracted to other subatomic particles. All particles have a unique frequency. When the brain imagines an object and when it sees an object, it produces identical chemicals and frequencies- it doesn't know the difference. If you are constantly thinking about something, your thoughts are giving off that frequency. This attracts the thing you are thinking about (i.e. stressing about money problems brings more money problems, being in a good mood and thinking happy thoughts causes those around you to be in a good mood and think happy thoughts).
When this is truly understood and harnessed, one can create their own reality based on how they choose to see it. The crazy part is that we are all already doing this, we just don't all know it. I exist in your reality because you chose me to. You are reading this comment because you chose it to be here.
Now, considering that all things are one and the same and we choose our realities, everything you see and experience around you is just an extension or another part of yourself, hence the saying "I am another yourself". We are all one and the same. Everything you see and experience is a part of you, including me.
If this is all very confusing, I suggest you do the following:
-Read and/or watch The Secret
-Watch What the Bleep Do We Know? (I think Mom might still have a copy of it either on DVD or on the computer)
-Read the book I recommended in this post
I suggest you do it in that order. You don't have to, I just think it would make the most sense that way. Thanks for your interest in me and for asking the question. I hope my answer helps. =)
Love you, Josh.
Wow! That sounds very interesting! I think Avery is fascinated as well (she's been staring at the computer since I started reading your comment) :) Thanks for sharing.
